President Mwai Kibaki, Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka and Prime Minister Raila Odinga with other MPs follow parliamentary proceedings shortly before the vote on the Constitutional of Kenya (Ammendment) Bill 2009 was brought to the floor of the House.
Parliament rejects a local Special Tribunal

President Mwai Kibaki and Prime Minister Raila Odinga in their capacity as Members of Parliament for Othaya and Lang'ata respectively today joined other legislators in the voting session for the Constitution of Kenya (Amendment) Bill 2009 and statutes for establishment of a special tribunal for Kenya .

The Bills were, however, rejected by 101 – 93 votes. 145 votes being two thirds of the 222 legislators were required for the constitutional amendments.
